Tasked with providing eyeglasses and other optical aids to individuals of all ages, this role involves working with prescriptions issued by optometrists and ophthalmologists. The position entails guiding and supporting patients in selecting appropriate lenses and spectacle frames, considering factors such as style, weight, and color to meet their needs.

{Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Roles}

• Verify order data entry accuracy, cross-checking prescriptions to ensure alignment with the doctor’s original Rx. Properly file orders in the designated ABC system within the store.
• Drive sales through exceptional Member service both in-person and via phone interactions. Clearly communicate all exam fee procedures transparently and cordially with customers.
• Take precise measurements, ensure accurate frame selection based on Rx power, read prescriptions on the lensometer, and provide timely updates on order readiness and progression in the system. Manage transactions efficiently, including receiving, notifying, and dispensing each job while handling financial transactions meticulously.
• Strictly adhere to privacy and company confidentiality policies, including HIPAA regulations, ensuring Members receive assistance with eyeglass adjustments and repairs.
• Support the Optical Manager during opening and closing procedures, ensuring proper funds collection and point-of-service payments.
• Uphold all club policies and procedures while being flexible to assist in other departments as required.
• Fulfill any other delegated responsibilities and tasks as needed.
• Consistent, reliable, and complete attendance is a crucial aspect of this role.

{Requirements}

• Mandatory possession and maintenance of a valid and active optician license within the State.
• Preferably possess knowledge of optical products and business practices.
• Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma, college degree, or experience in big box wholesale, retail, optical, and/or management.
• Essential attributes include robust interpersonal skills, organizational proficiency, and keen attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts is a necessity.
