To realize our vision, we are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Data Access Monitoring, to play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless and responsible access and utilization of data throughout its lifecycle, while adhering to all pertinent restrictions, qualifications, responsibilities, and obligations.

  • Supporting the R&D Data Governance and Access Office involves ensuring the responsible utilization and reutilization of data through the implementation and maintenance of monitoring and reporting processes for data access and usage. This entails taking action based on gathered information to guarantee the operational functionality, comprehensive coverage, and effectiveness of the data governance framework.
  • Proactively collaborating with data sponsors and restriction leads throughout the organization is essential to ensure the timely application of access and usage procedures for all data sources. By employing standardized monitoring and reporting practices, transparency and consistency are upheld, fostering a cohesive approach across the organization.
  • The task also involves defining and implementing a meaningful set of measures and metrics to validate that data is utilized in accordance with compliance standards. This initiative offers visibility and insights into the operational facets of the R&D Data Governance and Access framework, enabling continuous improvement and optimization of data management processes.


  • In alignment with core program objectives, establish a comprehensive set of measures and metrics that furnish both proactive and retrospective insights into system user activity, focusing on compliance and value metrics.
  • Regularly monitor the data governance and access framework to evaluate, analyze, and characterize data ingestion, processing, access, and utilization procedures.
  • Develop and sustain a dynamic dashboard of the Data Governance and Access framework, ensuring operational transparency by promptly identifying exceptions in key processes.
  • Collaborate with fellow members of the Data Governance and Access Office to leverage insights from usage patterns, alerts, performance indicators, and user feedback, fostering ongoing refinement and enhancement of system functionality and user experience.


  1. Demonstrated experience in defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to gauge, monitor, analyze, and enhance data usage and access systems.
  2. Proficiency in configuring intricate IT and data systems to facilitate comprehensive trend monitoring, alert generation, and dashboard creation for both operational and strategic purposes.
  3. Capacity to scrutinize and interpret data patterns to ensure the effective enforcement of system safeguards and alert mechanisms, facilitating the identification of usage trends and performance fluctuations.
  4. Track record of driving improvements in data system functionality and performance through a combination of system analysis and user feedback integration.
  5. Previous involvement in scientific exploration and/or statistical analysis of life sciences, real-world, clinical, and operational data.
  6. Ability to evaluate and provide guidance on the analysis and feedback of complex business policies, restrictions, and operational models.
  7. Experience in designing and implementing business and operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Proven capability to collaborate across national and organizational boundaries to garner support, resolve issues, identify and mitigate risks, and expedite transparent delivery of results that meet current demands while anticipating future opportunities.

  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding and demonstrated practical experience in data governance, data security, life sciences, and business operations.
  • Brings current or previous hands-on expertise in the scientific and data science aspects of biopharma.
